Western
Yeast Culture
is used to great advantage by our pork producing customers. Our
European and Asian customers typically use Western Yeast Culture
to reduce supplemental phosphorus requirements, costs and pollution.
One of the many beneficial enzymes produced by live yeast cells is
phytase which releases phytin phosphorus, the primary form of
phosphorus in cereal grains. Phytin phosphorus is very poorly utilized
so most of the phosphorus in grains goes unused. Many pork producers
use Western Yeast Culture to reduce supplemental phosphorus
costs and its subsequent effect on the environment. Western Yeast
Culture will eliminate constipation in lactating sows which then
consume more and wean heavier pigs. Normally, the addition of Western
Yeast Culture to grower/finisher diets will stop cannibalism,
reduce manure volumes and aid in manure odor control. Producers
frequently comment on its ability to reduce incidence of ulcers as
well. Western Yeast Culture does not function as a medication.
The dependable, positive results producers see with Western Yeast
Culture are a result of yeast's ability to ensure and enhance
normal digestion and our ability to deliver to you a live yeast cell
in an undiluted high potency culture.
